75% Grenache and 25% Syrah, from sand, clay and silt soil. 25-year-old vines. The wine is replete with black fruits and pepper and has a pleasant smoothness on the palate and finish that belies its underlying rusticity. Would be great with pork stew or jambalaya.
A rich and structured Sablet with plenty of red fruits, licorice and candied orange character. A thread of spiciness is neatly woven through the full body. The tannins build very nicely on the palate and there’s more than enough ripeness to carry this at the long finish. Drink or hold.
