Riga Black Balsam, Latvia's national drink, is a deeply black, herbal spirit made from twenty-four botanicals that are traditionally used as natural remedies. Ingredients include roots and herbs such as Valerian, Wormwood, Black Pepper, Ginger, Gentian and Peruvian Balsamic Oil. A sip of Riga Black balsam lingers long on the palate, with a moderately bitter finish accompanied by notes of berries and evergreen bark.
