Mersel Heya Kanz Red 2023 (750ml)
We are two mothers, Claudine and Michelle, who share a passion for ancestral wine making techniques. Heya Wines actually means ‘She’ in Arabic and is a representation of women who work hard in a male dominated industry to produce something they love. Kanz is a 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache, reflecting the heavy influence of the French's colonial legacy in Lebanon. It's fermented whole cluster and aged in amphora with minimal sulfur added. It's an easy, gulpable red with ripe strawberries, Swedish fish, black pepper, licorice, and hibiscus on the finish.
