Dark Arts is an independent bottling project based in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a 7-year old Rye that was distilled in Indiana and finished with toasted Amburana wood staves, a rare hardwood from Brazil that imparts a very distinct flavor and aroma of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal to anything that it touches. This is a wonderful example of a restrained wood influence that adds a very pleasant cinnamon note to the sweet and peppery Rye Whiskey in the glass. Delicious notes of cinnamon chai, caramel, and vanilla frosting.
