The entry level calvados in the Daron range, it is made with several varieties of Normandy-grown apples which are fermented, the cider slowly distilled in copper pot stills and then the distillate aged in Limousin oak casks. The apple trees used in the production of Daron Calvados grow in orchards on the chalky, clay soil in the region north of Pays d'Auge. Several varieties of bitter and sweet cider apple are used: Bisquets, Bedan, Petit Joly, and St Martin.
