Satsuma Shochu is a Geographical Indication granted to otsu-rui (single-distilled) shochus made in Kagoshima prefecture using local volcanic-soil grown sweet potatoes, and represents a huge array of different imo (sweet potato) in a plethora of styles. Goro is bold, in-your-face imo goodness. The palate is bodacious, thick, and layered. Enjoy notes of pistachio, blueberry, powdered sugar, and egg tart. This shochu is all kinds of rich, yet the mouthfeel is soft due to the precious Sanoura "firefly" spring water used in its production.
