Harvested from the east side of Seneca Lake, the vines here grow in a unique soil composed of shale, gravelly loam, limestone, and clay. Fermented spontaneously in neutral barrels and bone dry, this is a persistent and beautiful effort that drinks like a true German VDP-level Riesling. Notes of crushed stone, quine, and freshly cut flowers with nice body and length. Pair with grilled shrimp, Thai curry, or a cheese plate.

Scents of pine tips and green herbs give way to firm, austere citrus flavors. It's got an herbal edge, of thyme and chervil, with an orange peel and lime-oil lift.
