Cannonau, the island's primary red grape, creates wines with floral tones, red berry fruit and herbaceous, savory notes. The Surrau Naracu Cannonau is a lifted, fresh wine with definite minerality in the glass thanks to the sandy, granitic soils in this vineyard. Naracu is made from 20 year old vines and aged in stainless steel. The palate is packed with notes of raspberry, white pepper and strawberry skin. This tangy, medium weighted red is a sure bet and trades for well under what it's worth.
