Cabernet Franc from the Finger Lakes via a side jaunt to Piedmont! Our estate Cab Franc celebrates the beautiful fruit quality of this grape in the Finger Lakes, but then puts it through an ‘old world’ prism. Roughly handled, then both fermented and aged in a large oak tank, the structure and depth of this wine are utterly unique, but meant for long aging or enjoyment with great ragus or game meals. Bramble fruit and kalamata olive on the nose give way to flavors of raspberry, violet, and savory sage notes.
