Brovia dates back to 1863, and over the (many) years, the family has acquired stunning vineyard sites in the vicinity of their home village of Castiglione Falletto and the nearby Serralunga d’Alba. This is one of the most meticulous of growers, dedicated to organic practices as a matter of course (not by certification). Barolo blends the fruit of younger vines from sites that hold a 'cru' status in the region. Limited quantities of their Barolo make it the US, so if you are a fan of structured Italian reds, this is a find. We love the floral aromatics and deep cherry core, plus a steady mineral-laced finish to balance the substantial tannins. As you might guess, this will do well with a few years in the cellar.
