Domaine Clair Obscur, founded in 2006 by Pierre and Jennifer Clair in Corpeau, is a family-run vineyard known for its commitment to biodynamic farming and traditional winemaking practices. With roots dating back to the 1960s, the estate has expanded to 3.5 hectares under the meticulous care of Pierre, who brings extensive expertise from his roles at Domaine Marquis D’Angerville and Domaine de Montille. The fruity and spicy Puits de Chaux comes from 65 year-old vines in the Hautes Cotes de Beaune atop red clay/limestone soils that see 13-month aging in neutral oak barrels.
