8 day carbonic maceration, 7 month again in oak foudre, zero/zero. The Goepp brothers eschew all additives in order to preserve the purity of the grapes. The brothers are part of a growing movement in Alsace to preserve traditions and terroir, and to do it naturally. This mild and silky Pinot Noir has aromas of fruit leather, wild strawberries and a subtle herbaceous quality. The palate is light and fruity, with lots of notes of bright cherry and Red Rooibos tea. A touch of black pepper and green herbs brings a pleasant earthy balance.
