After learning in Cornas and Alsace, Peron returned to Savoie in 2004 and set up shop in Chevaline to farm some of the steepest slopes in France. However many of these elusive vines are over 100 years old, so the mountain trek is more than worth is for the quality of grapes on these slopes. 130 year old Jacquere grown in clay and limestone, this bottle sees 15 days of skin contact and one year in neutral oak on the lees, producing an aromatic orange wine, redolent with the scents of ripe white fruit, hints of white blossoms, and mineral undertones.
