2023 brought a horrendous frost to the Finger Lakes, and it was unclear if there would be much local fruit available, so Osmote was excited to work with organic minded farmers on nearby Long Island at the Macari vineyard. This is full of orchard fruit aromas like Nashi pear and Cortland apple ensconced in a slightly broader frame than the usual Finger Lakes Chardonnay, mineral style. It is rich and pleasing with a delicate kiss of oak from only very large and older French oak barrels.
