Ruffino Description
Ruby red with violet hues. Intense and intriguing notes of ripe cherries, plums, and blackberries give way to hints of sweet tobacco, mint, and spices. Rich with silky tannins, red berries, and a long finish of vanilla. The mouthfeel is pleasing and fresh as Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot weave together with consummate finesse, while each grape type also adds its own distinctive character. Modus' structure on the palate promises aging potential.

Aromas of crushed stones, dark berries and blueberries follow through to a medium to full body with creamy tannins and a medium-chewy finish. Chocolate at the end. Sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Two or three years of bottle age will bring this around nicely.
