The native grape of Somló is Juhfark, a thin-skinned white varietal that produces wines with great tension and power. Tamás Kis' 100% Juhfark is fermented with native yeasts in old Hungarian oak barrels and aged in barrel for 6 months. The wine is wonderfully aromatic with a complex smoky, savory component that is complemented by an undercurrent of fragrant white flowers and just-ripe orchard fruit. The wine is complex and textured with a wonderful saline minerality and long, intense finish. Enjoy with fried veal cutlets or roast pork dishes.
