Uncle Nearest is the proud legacy of the Godfather of Tennessee Whiskey, Nearest Green. Their 1856 Premium Whiskey is a blend of aged whiskies between 8 and 14 years old. It has a beautiful golden bronze color, with nice density in the glass. Rich and deeply complex from the get-go, this evolves into a bold and spicy palate, with accents of honey, oak and clove. Dried fruit dots the long finish and is reminiscent of a freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookie. A superb sipping whiskey that should be on every Bourbon lover's shelf.
