Domaine Serol Description
From the little known Cotes Roannaise in southeastern Loire, where they specialize in a unique strain of Gamay native to this area where it grows at high elevations on granite soil. Brimming with red fruit and pepper, this highly aromatic and enticing Gamay Saint-Romain has supple tannins and just enough granitic backbone to give it depth of character and ageability. Though best drunk within a few years, we have thoroughly enjoyed 8-10 year old bottles from some of Stéphane's earliest vintages, especially when paired with red meats. Drink chilled!
