This single-vineyard, old-vine Baga from the southern extremes of the Bairrada DOC is fermented in oak lagares before being transferred to used French barrels. Fans of Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo should give this a go — an intense tannic structure, silky texture, and bright acidity are complemented by notes of red cherry, black peppercorn, cedar. The longer the wine is in your glass, the more flavors of forest floor, coffee, and dark chocolate emerge. Your cellar will thank you for this one!
