A new wine in this range, the 2018 Sparkling Heron Lake Vineyard is 68% Chardonnay and 32% Pinot Noir from a site in Wild Horse Valley. Bright and aromatic, with terrific drive, the 2018 is wonderfully complete right out of the gate. Citrus peel, slate, white pepper and mint lend notable brilliance throughout. The fine mousse and overall complexity suggest this site is pretty ideal for sparkling wine. Disgorged March, 2022.
