Feudo Montoni Description
Feudo Montoni is located on the western side of Sicily, situated on clay and limestone soils rather than Etna's typical volcanic soils. Montoni's vines are isolated from the rest of the island's viticulture, a small oasis of vineyards surrounded by a sea of golden wheat and ancient olive groves. This isolation has worked like magic to keep the phylloxera pest away. Lagnusa means lazy in the local dialect, and refers to the vines' low yields. This Nero d'Avola is dark-fruited, juicy and lightly spicy, with fresh acidity and enticing berry aromas.
