Susucaru is the entry-level wine from iconic Etna based low-intervention winemaker Frank Cornelissen. It's mostly a field-blend made in a way that is bright, light and slightly tart with a red cherry, wet stone and earthy tone. Unlike Frank's more tannic cru wines, Susucaru has a 'mega-gluggable' profile that's difficult not to love on a summer afternoon.
Cornelissen's entry-level red wine is a field-blend of mostly Nerello Mascalese (85%) with other local varietals from all their vineyards. Susucaru Rosso expresses Etna as produced in a more traditional way of blending different contradas as well as different varietals to obtain a fragrant, elegant and fluid wine with structure and personality. The wine is bright, light and slightly tart with a red cherry, wet stone and earthy tone. Unlike Frank's more tannic cru wines, Susucaru has a 'mega-gluggable' profile that's super refreshing.
