For decades Fabien Duperray was an agent for many of the Côte d’Or’s premier producers; in 2017 he began running his new estate, which he named Domaine Jules Desjourneys. He farms entirely according to biodynamic principles and his yields are very low. From a plot of very old vines on the finest terroirs of Verzé, this superb Mâcon-Villages has a racy nose and a palate that is rich and juicy, more akin to a Chablis than a Mâcon. Notes of salinity, minerality, and citrus.
