Vincent is an upcoming star on the Burgundian winemaking scene. What might be even more impressive than his wines’ overall quality is that he is a true self-made vigneron. He has done everything himself, step-by-step, vineyard-by-vineyard, wine-by-wine. What an artisan! A really authentic style of wine that is produced from an established vineyard above Nuits St. Georges. If Vincent’s wine is not the best Hautes Côtes de Nuits we have ever tried, it is certainly one of them. And this shows that one can still buy beautifully made, soulful wines from Burgundy for not a lot of dosh. This opens up with beautiful crunchy red fruits and some appealing notes of brown sugar. Nicely done.
